'Kawan' in the Indonesian language means 'buddy'. We started as a fast-growing community of people who loved going to events but did not always have someone to go with. From this community, people were already meeting up, going to concerts and parties together, and forming new friendships long before we built any product.
Seeing this happen naturally inspired us to build the Kawan web app, where we aim to provide a simple and easy-to-use service for people to find buddies for events.
Now, we are broadening our horizons and aiming to become the number one buddy-finding platform for all kinds of experiences. We want to help you find the right people to enjoy concerts, parties, museum trips, escape rooms, VR games and many other activities with!

How It Works
Find a buddy for the event or activity you want to attend.
If other people who requested a buddy for this event have the same preferences and criteria as you, we will match you together.
You’ll receive an email once you’ve been matched. Each group is limited to a maximum of 4 people to keep the experience intimate and fun.
You can then chat with your group directly on the platform. Feel free to introduce yourself and coordinate how you’ll meet at the event!
